Provenance: Found near the site of the Hiroshima nuclear explosion by the present owner, who was part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force, Japan 1945-48. 7 A Chamberlains Worcester ornamental vase, 1830's, of campana form, with a domed lid, sprig handles, encrusted with flowers and foliage and painted with numerous exotic birds, the domed lid with foliate finial, compartmentalised decoration of exotic bird, matched by flowers, acanthus moulded lower section to the bowl, scrolled base, marked "Chamberlains Worcester" in puce inside the lid, (some damage, bolted through and cracked), 61cms, (24"). £6000-8000 £5500
