Buying Steps 
After successful bidding, here’s how to settle your invoice and receive your items:
Payment
- In-Person: You can pay at the saleroom during collection. Once all your chosen lots have been offered, proceed directly to the cash desk to pay and collect your items.
- Online: Pay through the secure payment page on our website. Online bidders will receive an invoice by email with a payment link.
- Bank Transfer: Payment can be made directly to our Client Account. The bank details will be provided on your invoice.
Please note: We accept debit cards only; we do not accept credit cards or cash.
Shipping or Collection
- Shipping Service: Gildings offers an in-house shipping service for UK-based deliveries. Most items are eligible for shipping, which will be indicated in the lot description under the "Suitable for shipping?" tab. Please note, we do not ship items valued over £2,500 or weighing more than 30kg. There are some items we are prohibited from posting because of either conditions laid down by the delivery service or that we as a company do not deem suitable to pack, due to their nature, size or weight. - Collection: Items can be collected from the saleroom by appointment once payment has cleared. You can schedule an appointment through our appointment system. Items bought in person at the saleroom can be collected immediately after payment. If someone is collecting on your behalf, please notify us in advance.
- Storage Charges: We kindly ask that you arrange collection within 10 working days of payment. After this period, storage charges may apply.
Third-Party Shipping Options
For larger or international items, buyers may arrange their own shipping using a third-party courier. A list of recommended providers can be found on our Shipping Information page.
Items will only be released to third-party couriers with prior authorisation from the buyer.
